How to open Command Prompt in Windows 8


Since windows 8 does not have start button like earlier windows operating system so start screen acts like start button in windows 8. There are various process to open command prompt in windows 8. The most easiest process is just type command prompt or cmd on the start screen. Don't worry! No need to think about capital letter or small letter. It's not case sensitive. So its fun and easy to open any programs in windows 8. As soon as you type command prompt or cmd on the keyboard, search begins according to the letter you type and result will be on the screen and then either click on it or press Enter on the keyboard to open it.

To open command prompt in windows 8 you need to right click anywhere on the Start screen which is default screen in windows 8. Once you right click anywhere on the Start screen you All apps option will display bottom of the Start screen. Click on All apps to see list of apps available in Windows 8. Scroll your mouse to see all apps and then click on command prompt. Now command prompt opens.

3rd Process

You can also open it from desktop also. Click on Desktop app on Start screen and then press windows key + R on the keyboard to open Run. When Run opens type cmd and then click O.K. You can directly opens Run from All apps option also.
