How To Add Any Programs To Start Menu



When you install any programs to your system it is automatically added to your All Programs or Programs which is sub-menu of start menu in windows xp, windows vista or windows 7. If you want to open this programs you need to go to start > All programs / programs then you have to find that particular programs.

Suppose you have installed Microsoft Office in your Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7. And if you wish to open Microsoft Office Word then you have to follow the path Start > All Programs / Programs > Microsoft Office > Microsoft Office Word. Now if you wish to open it directly from start menu how could you open? Do you know that you can change the path? If you add Microsoft Office Word executable file to Start menu then you can open Microsoft Office Word directly to your Start menu. Now how could you do that? Follow the path to do that C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Office and copy Microsoft Office Word 2003/2007/2010 and paste it to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu.


Now you can easily open Microsoft Office Word from start menu. What ever programs you want to add start menu you can do by the aforesaid way. You can remove the programs easily when ever you want. From start menu just right click on the program and click Delete.


You can do it by another process. Right click on Start button and click Open All Users and copy the programs from Programs folder and click Back button located top left corner to come back and paste that file C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu.
