How to Change System Sound in Windows 8

To change system sound in windows 8 go to Control Panel and click Hardware and Sound then click Change system sounds. Sound dialog box opens. Now from the sound list you need to select the desired sound. After selecting your desired sound click Apply and then OK.

If you want to add your own sound then record your sound first and then go to Control Panel and click Hardware and Sound then click Change system sounds. Sound dialog box opens. Click Browse to add your file. But be sure that your sound should be a wave file i.e., extension of your sound file should be .wav.

If you do not want system sound then click Windows Default and select No Sound and then click Apply and then OK.
