Group Similar Tasks On The Windows Taskbar

When you have opened multiple files in windows, all are arranged on the taskbar. Taskbar has some limitation depending upon the size of your monitor. If you cross this limitation two small arrows (one is upward direction and another is downward direction) appear automatically near left side of the active icons on the taskbar. By clicking them you can see all your opened files. Otherwise you can switch to your desired file by pressing Alt + Tab on the keyboard.

If you wish to group all your opened similar files or similar tasks on taskbar you can. To group all your similar tasks you just need to right click blank space on the taskbar not on the opened files. After that you need to select Properties. After that Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window opens. Here you need to select the check box against “ Group similar taskbar buttons “ . After selecting check box against “ Group similar taskbar buttons “ just click OK button to save your changes.

Once you click OK all your opened similar files or similar tasks are grouped. Whenever you wish to appear all your opened file separately not in a group or when you want to ungroup them just repeat the above process and uncheck the check box against “ Group similar taskbar buttons “ on Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window and click OK.
