How To Insert Page Number in Open Office Writer

Like Microsoft Word, you can insert page number in Open Office Writer. Inserting page number in your document indicates the number of page that
you have in your document. To insert page number in open office writer you need to do the below few steps.

Step 1. At first you need to add Header / Footer so that page number appears in the Header / Footer section. To add Header / Footer click Insert and then hover your mouse pointer on either Header or Footer and then select Default. Now you will able to see Header / Footer box in your document.

Step 2. Click anywhere on the Header / Footer box.
Step 3. Now click Insert in the menu bar 
Step 4. Hover you mouse pointer at Fields 
Step 5. Now click Page NumberOnce you click Page Number, number is inserted in your document.

Step 6. If you wish to change the format of page number from 1, 2, 3 to I, II, III then you need to click Format in the menu bar and then click Page. Page Style: Default dialog box opens.

Step 7.  Now you need to click 1, 2, 3, ... against Format and then choose the desired one and then click OK to save the changes. 

Step 8. You can use alignment Ctrl + L for left, Ctrl + E for center and Ctrl + R for right to change the position of page number also.
