Twitter Accessible Without Internet Through U2Opia Mobile

Twitter is partnering with U2opia mobile to increase the popularity of micro blogging social site Twitter. Singapore based mobile company U2opia mobile developed an app which help mobile users to access Twitter from their mobile phones without internet / GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) connection. U2opia made Facebook available to mobile phone users without internet/GPRS connection already.


Fonetwish service of U2opia mobile is based on USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) protocol and it allows all GSM mobile phone users to access this service free of cost. No matter what mobile phone you are using. This protocol supports all GSM mobile phone from basic mobile phones to smartphones and this whole process is based on real time. Any delay in responding to to the application's request, users will get an time-out error.
All GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) mobile phone users can access this facility. They can access this facility without internet connection by dialing a simple code to get a feed of Twitter. Since U2opia mobile has tied up with leading telecom service providers like Vodafone & Bharati Airtel, so this facility will also available in India also.
