How to Save YouTube Videos to Google Drive with Original Resolution

We all know that in human mind a video creates more impact than contents. So most of the bloggers create How-to guide videos and used YouTube and other video hosting platforms to publish their videos to get wider audience. You can bundle all your YouTube videos as an iTunes podcast so that people can download and watch them offline.

Backup of your original videos help you to upload in different hosting platforms like Vimeo, Facebook, Google+, Myspace etc. with original resolution. It allows you to download your YouTube videos in the original resolution and in archive format as well as allows you to save them directly in the Google Drive.

Google Takeout also allows you to download Google+ circles vcard, Google+ photos, Blogger blog data, Gmail contacts, Panoramio photos, Google Play Books etc. all the Google products that you use.

Google Takeout also allows you to download YouTube videos in three different file types namely .zip, .tgz and .tbz. If the archive file size exceeds 2GB than it will be split into multiple zip files.

To get download your YouTube videos in the original high resolution and to save them in your Google Drive just click here. After that click Next and then select the desired zip file type and then select the desired delivery method Add to Drive.


That’s it. Once archive is finished, all your YouTube videos will be zipped and added to the Takeout folder in your Google Drive in few hours. You will also get an email with its link to its location.
