How to Change BSNL Broadband WiFi Password

Wi-Fi is a technology that allows multiple devices like computers, smartphones and other devices to access internet wirelessly within a particular area. Most of the Wi-Fi devices are protected with Wi-Fi password. To establish a Wi-Fi connection through a Wi-Fi devices like BSNL modem or Wi-Fi router you must have Wi-Fi password. Wi-Fi password always gives your device an extra security.

I have already published a post how to setup Wi-Fi Hotspot password on Android phone. For broadband connection most people use BSNL modem and in this post I will show you how to change/setup BSNL modem's Wi-Fi password.

For security reason change your BSNL modem's Wi-Fi password time to time. Now to change BSNL modem's Wi-Fi password, you need to perform the following the steps. Read also : BSNL Unveils Rs. 249 Unlimited Broadband Plan.

Step 1. Open browser on your computer and type ip address 192.168.1.1 on the address bar and then press Enter on your keyboard.



Step 2. This will prompt you to enter username and password. The default username is admin and the default password is also admin. For authentication purpose you need to enter username as admin and password as admin and then click Log In.  Read also : How to track lost/stolen smartphone.



Step 3. Modem configuration page opens. Now you need to click Interface Setup to view all the available options. After that you will able to see options like Internet, LAN, Wireless etc. Read also : How to make your blog Push Notification ready.



Step 4. Now to enter into Wi-Fi configuration mode you need to click Wireless.



Step 5. If you wish to deactivate the access point simply click Deactivated button against Access Point. If its deactivated already then click Activated button to activate the Access Point. Now if you wish to change SSID name scroll down to SSID and change the name. Now its time to change the authentication type to WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK. After that change the Pre-Shared Key which should be your Wi-Fi password and then scroll down and click Save. Read also : How to Fix HTTP and HTTPS Mixed Content Errors.
