How to Fix HTTP and HTTPS Mixed Content Errors on Blogger

Mixed content errors occur only when a web page is initially secured by SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) but it contains both secure HTTPS and non secure HTTP content (such as links, images, videos, scripts and stylesheets). This mixed content errors affects your site performance and cause security issues. This mixed content issues can be caused by the HTML markup or JavaScript content in. How to Check HTTP and HTTPS Mixed Content Errors

To check HTTP and HTTPS mixed content errors, you need to perform the below few steps.

Step 1. At first open Google Chrome browse (highly recommended) and type your blog URL address using HTTPS i.e. https://<your-blog-name>.blogspot.com. Read also : How to find AdSense high paying long tail keywords.

Step 2. Once your blog is loaded completely, click Customize and control Google Chrome icon i.e., three vertical dots located extremely top right side corner >> More Tools >> Developer Tools >> Console or use this shortcut CTRL + SHIFT + J to open the JavaScript console. Step 3. If your blog has mixed content errors, you will see mixed content errors similar to the below image.


Now look for mixed content errors:
  • “Mixed Content: The page at 'https://<your-blog-name>.blogspot.com/' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure script 'http://<some-url>script.js'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.”  Read also : Read also : How to make Money Online from Home.
  • “Mixed Content: The page at 'https://<your-blog-name>.blogspot.com/' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image 'http://<some-url>image.jpg'. This content should also be served over HTTPS.” 

Step 4. Now you need to make a list of all unsecured URLs and visit each page of your blog to get more mixed content errors. Read also How to setup AdSense Page Level Ads.

Fix Mixed Content Errors on Blogger Template:

To fix HTTP and HTTPS mixed content errors you just need to perform the below steps very carefully.

Step 1. On your blog’s dashboard, click Template.

Step 2. Click Edit HTML.

Step 3. Now click anywhere in the template content and then press Ctrl + F on the keyboard to get search box. Read also : How lock / track lost mobile phone and erase data remotely.

Step 4. In the search box type "http://" and press enter on the keyboard.

Step 5. If you find any HTTP URLs inside HTML tag attributes (specifically in <image>, <link>, <audio>, <video> and <script> tags) then replace all "http:// to "https://". Read also Google Web Master Tools Complete Guide.
Step 6. After that verify whether each URL is available over HTTPS by putting it into a new tab in your browser. If the HTTP and HTTPS links give the same result, then everything works.

Step 7. Finally, click Save template.

Fix Mixed Content Errors on Posts & Pages

Mixed content errors for posts and pages can be fixed in the source code of that posts or pages from the blogger post editor.

Step 1. On your blog’s dashboard, click Posts >> hover mouse pointer on the post or page and click Edit option. Read also : How to make Money from Google Apps.

Step 2. After that click HTML tab.  If the content has any errors, you will see them in the editor screen and the post or page won’t be saved yet.

Fix Mixed Content Errors on Gadgets

To fix HTTP and HTTPS mixed content errors from Gadgets just perform the below steps carefully.

Step 2. Now you need to replace all "http://" to "https://".
