How To Use Getty's Images To Your Blog / Website

Getty Images is an American stock photo agency which supplies stock images for business and consumers. According to Wikipedia Getty has 80 million still images and illustrations and more than 50,000 hours of stock film footage. Getty has recently launched a new program that allows anyone to embed its wide variety of the stock images into their blog / websites absolutely free. Bloggers and websites owner can now easily embed Getty's images to their blogs / websites.

According to the new policy Getty allows bloggers / websites owners free access to its 35 million photos. Although Getty allows bloggers / websites owner free access to its 35 million photos but blogger / websites owner use these photo only for non commercial purpose. Getty doesn't allow blogger / website owners directly to download and upload to their blog / website instead Getty allows only embedding an image which includes credit and a link back to the original source. Although Getty allows bloggers / websites owner free access to its millions of photos but still Getty isn't making its whole collection free for embedding. Before this embedding option Getty'e images were widely used without any payment and without  giving any credit as well as a link back to the original source. From now bloggers / websites owner can legally use Getty's images which includes credit to Getty Images, photographer's name, Getty's own social share button, embedding tag </> and a link back to the original source. Embedding tag </> allows others to re embed the same image without going to Getty Images website. Read also : how to create AdSense search engine and make money from it.

Although Getty allows embedding an image but still Getty keeps some rights reserved. But the embed is kind a crummy. Unlike YouTube's video users can't customize the embedded images as well as can't change the different dimensions ( width and height) of embedded image. Anyway it is good for blogger and website owners.
